Freddie Gibbs is slowing becoming my favorite current rapper out right now (If that’s even a possible category). And the main reason for that is because he’s what the game is missing right now: Gangsta shit. He shits on Jeezy for being fake. He shits on Jim Jones for being a fake gangster. And most importantly, he makes good gangsta rap music.
“Eastside Moonwalker” is more good gangsta rap shit, from the audio to the visuals. Anytime you rap while standing on top of a cop car is gangsta. Directed by John Colombo. ESGN drops on July 9th.
Sidenote: The title of this song reminds of Freddie Gibbs’ story about Micheal Jackson coming back to Gary, Indiana.
