The Numbers Game: Miley Cyrus, Pusha T, & Danny Brown

Miley Cyrus

On the low, this seems like a good week for album sales mainly because we saw a few releases that many people have been waiting on. After a long wait, Miley Cyrus finally released her grown folks album Bangerz and unsurprisingly it took the number 1 spot. It didn’t do crazy numbers but 271,000 isn’t nothing to sneeze at either.

Pusha T also finally dropped his album with My Name Is My Name and landed in the Top 5 with the #4 spot (Funny enough, Nothing Was Same‘s third week outsold My Name Is My Name). I don’t know if this will get reviewed seeing that it’s been slow around these parts as of late. My Name Is My Name sold 75,000 in it’s first week.

Probably my pick for best album on the charts this week, Danny Brown‘s Old also finally dropped. I didn’t expect for this album to sell a huge amount but landing at #18 and selling 15,000 copies isn’t a bad thing for Danny either. Check our track-by-track album review of Danny Brown’s Old here.
