The Numbers Game: Isaiah Rashad & Andy Mideo

Isaiah Rashad

This week we saw some increase album sales from Macklemore/Ryan Lewis & Kendrick Lamar which may be because of the Grammys (The actually Grammy Nominees compilation is still sitting at #2).

We also saw Andy Mideo, a Christian rapper who I think I’ve seen once on a Lecrae album, drop a project and do really well. His EP Never Land sold 26,000 units and landed at #13. Now will I listen to this album? *shrugs* Congrats to Andy Mideo either way.

The one release I was focused on was Isaiah Rashad‘s Cilvia Demo. He sold 8,500 and still made the Top 50. That pretty damn good for a rapper that doesn’t have a big name or a big feature on the project; he is TDE but Kendrick Lamar makes no appearances on the album. Speaking of K.Dot, when he dropped Section.80 back in 2011, he sold around 5,300 copies. Just saying. You can read our review of Isaiah Rashad’s Cilvia Demo here.
