Even though If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late is basically Platinum right now, Drake releases the first official music video off the album with “Energy”.
A few things that are different with this video. The first is that it was premiered on Apple Music. I guess streaming platforms trying to get us to pay to watch new music videos is a thing that we gotta get used too.
The other thing about the visuals for “Energy” is that it’s kinda weird. Yeah, you get the usual thing in a Drake video like him dancing with and posturing with his crew. But I wasn’t ready to she Drizzy’s face superimposed into pop culture moments. So yeah , we see Drake versions of Miley Cyrus, Kanye West, Obama, O.J. Simpson, Floyd Mayweather, LeBron and even a Ken doll.
