Of course the Drake & Future album What a Time to be Alive is #1 in the country. I don’t think anybody thought otherwise. This only adds to the winning streak that both Future and Drake have been on; this is the second #1 album for both artists this year (Drake with If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late back in February and Future with DS2 back in July).
What a Time to be Alive sold 375,000 units and has the third highest selling first week this year (After The Weeknd’s Beauty Behind the Madness and Drake’s If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late).
Mac Miller‘s major label debut GO:OD AM lands at #4 and sold 86,000 copies. For some reason I thought this was Mac’s biggest debut but I was wrong (Mac has sold more before and has even had a #1 album). Still, selling this much with no real single on the radio is a feat. Hopefully we’ll have that review of GO:OD AM up soon. *fingers crossed* Here’s the review.
I’m not that familiar with Andy Mineo but his new album Uncomfortable sold around 35,000 units and grabbed the #10 spot. All independently. Salute.
More about Drizzy and Future Vandross. DS2 is currently at #12 and If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late is at #18.
