Bring Back The World Heavyweight Championship?
Now I say this, not really sure what to say. Yes, having one definitive champion gives the title credibility again, but it also lessens the chances of other stars ever being able to obtain that brass ring. Now if you’re some people (*ahem* Saule Wright) you bring that World Heavyweight Title in as a stepping stone for the main title. The WHC belt is the first step in proving that you’re ready for the big time. Here’s the problem: If the WHC belt is going to be secondary either way… what is really the point of having the title? What purpose does cashing in the Money In The Bank only to say “I’m second best!”? If it is going to be brought back and with Smackdown going live, it has to have just as much importance as whatever title RAW is going to have. Otherwise, have it be 2002 and move the champion around from show to show, adding that unpredictability to whoever may be gunning for him.
But those are my thoughts. What do you think? Either way we will all be tuning in the next few weeks, because why? IT’S TIME TO SHAKE THINGS UP AGAIN!!!
