REST IN PEACE, P!

Yesterday, Hip-Hop lost one of its GREATS. Albert “Prodigy” Johnson, one half of the legendary Queens duo Mobb Deep, lost his battle with sickle cell at 42. He always brought awareness of the disease and even took shots because of it, but that didn’t stop him from being one of the most believable tough guys in rap. I can’t even front like this man didn’t write the soundtrack to my teens with songs like “Shook Ones”, “Survival of the Fittest”, “Drop a Gem on Em”, and countless others. His interlude on The Infamous is still one of the GOAT interludes when he says, “he will punch niggas in they face just for living!”. How can you NOT love that?
