After telling us that Pretty Girls Like Trap Music, I’ve been anticipating more lessons from 2 Chainz with his next album, Rap Or Go To The League. The first offerings that could possibly be on the LP, “Hot Wings” and “Girls’s Best Friend” are good, but not what I expected. The title alone Rap Or Go To The League is a conversation about the limited choices for YOC’s (Youths of Color) from low-income homes. We’ve seen that not everyone that aspires to either section of the entertainment industry, sports or music, has a high chance of making it to the top tier, keeping their morals and values, or maintaining a sense of reality and not succumbing to the fatal trappings of fame and fortune.
Any who, 2 Chainz appears in the latest episode of Pull Up and I hope he and Joe Budden talk about fashion for a minute as well as talk about the change in management over at Def Jam Records under Paul Rosenberg.
