This was one of the most anticipated Horror films of 2020 before Covid. Online, the reviews have been mixed. Professional Film Critics, that are Black Women, have called out the two Male directors, for their inability to tell a Black woman’s story and using the violence of Slavery as an exploitive crutch.
But my older sister and B-Easy said it’s good, so I’ll watch it eventually.
