VH1’s Behind The Music: Ice Cube [Video]

Unfortunately, I was unable to was watch Ice Cube‘s Behind The Music special last night on VH1 (To be honest, I haven’t had cable in years but the Internet rippers hadn’t grabbed it yet). To make matters even worse, I’m currently at work so I can’t even watch it now. But I did see the teaser when Ice Cube explained how he took a baseball bat to a record exec’s office, so I’m sure this is awesome.

  1. Man Ice Cube was one of my favorites when I was a kid back then…. Nobody can’t deny the impact he had in the entertainment world. He is in my top 10 of all time……. Death Certificate is a classic! Albums nowadays can’t fuck with that album.

  2. VH1 always do pretty good with these segments…. I’m wondering why they didn’t mention Westside Connection or the beef with Cypress Hill since they were good friends… They didn’t mention his beef with Common and Mack 10 neither.

I don’t care what nobody say Ice Cube is one of the GOAT in music period.

Hip Hop changed so damn much since I was a kid…. We went from reality to hardcore to political to gangster and now we have this soft ass Drake shit. I miss hip hop being that rebel… Interesting time back then and it will never be forgotten.

      1. even if that WERE true (ha), I was talking all-around talent anyway and Cube has Three Kings.
so he’ll always have an edge on Dre, even IF he drops a decent Detox.

        1. Can’t forget about Anaconda, Friday (First one), Higher Learning….. The list goes on. Ice Cube had some of the best albums in music.

          1. Friday is good stuff (we’ve probably all seen that more times than we’d care to count), Anaconda is terrible to me, I dunno if I saw Higher Learning….maybe I did….plus theres Boyz and Barbershop and shit, lotta good movies.
But Three Kings is classic to me. Thats just a well-made, all around great movie, that was way before its time in ’97 too

          2. Higher Learning (1994) was good. It had Omar Epps and Busta Rhymes in it. 3 Kings was dope! I need to get that! Why you didnt like Anaconda? Boyz In The Hood is classic

  3. Well let’s not mention “Mr. Now I Gotta Wet Ya” starring in Are There Yet and/or Are We Done Yet(it’s the same movie if you ask me)
