I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Sometimes the iPod just knows. I can’t count how many times that I’ve set mine to shuffle and a song pops up that basically sums up the situation I’m currently going through.
This is the case when Prodigy’s “Trials Of Love” came on. He may be reduced to spitting recording verses over a prison phone these days, but this track perfectly freezes the moments of a rocky relationship. Then you add the fact that P’s actual real-life wife is the one trading bars with him here, the song goes to another level.
