Bobby V – Peach Moon EP (Vibes, Moods, Moments) (2013)
Somewhere, I got a hold of this album and as far as I know, it’s a free download. It came out in 2013 as well and it took me a while to actually give it a shot. I’ve always been cool with Bobby V’s music, judge me if you must. Even for me, this is probably some of his best work. It’s only 6 songs long, very concise as it is an EP, but each song has a much more soulful vibe than his previous offerings. This album sounds more like something you’d hear from Musiq or Maxwell than what we’ve come to know of Bobby V, you decide how that makes you feel. For me, it’s different and good. As previously stated, I would have been good with some old Bobby V but this change is welcome and I hope to hear more. If my wife is any barometer, she’s not a Bobby V fan at all, but I slid this on in the ride and she was shocked to hear it was him. Yes fellas, play this with the ladies…you’re welcome.
