Last Sunday was my 27th birthday and it is not too late for the birthday gifts. Church, dinner with family, Mavericks game, and I still had time to catch the season finale of Insecure (S/O to the #LawrenceHive) and the Soul Train Awards. I am not a fan of award shows, but I will watch if the performances and hosts are entertaining. Erykah Badu as host and promises of Anderson. Paak and Bobby Brown performing were my incentives to watch the show. You’re welcome, Centric.
Brandy, formerly known as “Mo to the”, delivered my favorite moment of the night. During her 9 minute reminder of why she is one of the best singers to come out of the nineties, Ms Norwood ran through many of her hits and performed my favorite “Full Moon“. I was literally sitting on the couch by myself and wanted to say aloud, “Everybody, shut up, she’s doing “Full Moon!””. Ain’t nobody talking, T, it’s just you. Oh. Here’s the title track to The Lady Of Soul recipient’s third album. Enjoy kids!
