1982’s The Slumber Party Massacre is bonkers. The premise is a psychotic killer escapes captivity and kills girls from the high school basketball team one by one with a long, cordless power drill. We already don’t believe that Leatherface can sneak up on someone with a chainsaw, how is the killer able to do the assignment with a power drill unnoticed?
SyFy premiered the 2021 remake on October 16th from director and writer continuing the tradition of the films in the Slumber Party Massacre series being written and directed by women.
