Dallas, Texas has had an interesting week. Gillie & Wallo interviewed the “New Dallas” movement on Sunday. Tuesday, BigXThaPlug shut down a bridge downtown during rush hour to film a music video with Shaboozey. I guess you can do that now after being the biggest reason why a song is listenable on Tha Carter VI.
Thursday was Juneteenth. S/O to Ms Opal Lee, the godmother of America’s new favorite holiday. I didn’t join her annual walk, but I did go see the General’s Orders that traveled to Galveston, Texas to proclaim the freedom of the last enslaved.
Today, a young artist from the Oak Cliff side of Dallas released a music video for his new single to give a visual representation of his hometown, culture, and mentality. Directed by FilmsByProphecy.
