Song of the Week: Sean Billz – “Change”

This week I decided to switch gears a little bit and get political for a second. We didn’t want to be the reason that Barry didn’t get elected to the White House, that’s why we waited to say anything about our political associations. My good friend Sean Billz did a song that was inspired by Obama’s recent run to the White House. The song is “Change” and it is off his label Reality Check Records. You can check out some more of his music here. Not only do I want you people to check out this song, but also I want you people to get out there and VOTE! This might be the most important election ever. So go out and be a part of it. We know you guys don’t come to the Fro’ for your political news, but we did want you people to know the importance of it. Now that I have said that, I want you to enjoy this installment of Song of the Week!

  1. Ah damn!!! You’ve really made my day by featuring my song as the “Song of the Week” for this week. When you said surprise I had no idea that you were talking about this fam. This is a real good look man and I really appreciate it. But song aside, you are definitely right that everybody needs to get out and vote. No matter what your stance is and your political views, just get out and vote. This is one of the most important elections in a long time and possible in our lifetime…so lets make sure we get it right the first time. I took advantage of early voting in my state, but if you didn’t, get out there on November 4 and make it happen!!!

    Obama isn’t no fucking terrorist, but does receive alot of his money from muslim groups.

    Republicans don’t cheat to win. Yes, media stations are bullshit, but they are mostly owned by liberals, meaning they are going to take the polls that show McCain doesn’t even have a chance. Same was done for the last election where they had Gore up 14 pts, and look how that turned out. YOU CAN’T TAKE WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR (POLLS) IN AGREEMENT AND THEN SAY IT”S BULLSHIT WHEN YOU DISAGREE.

    Clinton set up the economy for a downfall and Bush helped it get there. Clinton passed and proposed so much bullshit plans, and Bush did nothing to stop it. How many bills did he veto? Oh yea, none.

    McCain is old as fuck, but Obama is young as fuck. I’m not sure about how most people look on the topic, but I’d rather have someone who I believe has 30+ years of experience, then someone who was only in the senate for 145 days before deciding to run for president.

  23. Maybe we should have done more political talk. The arguements presented here that are anti Obama sound pretty elementary and could be easily disproven within seconds of research. Furthermore, while I’m not a huge Clinton plan, saying that he set the economy up for failure is very off base.

    And one more thing folks, there is an insinuation that you are making that Arab/Muslim means something bad. If he IS arab, so. If he does get muslim money, so. Gotta do better people, just read. Shit.

    I like how you took the approach to the song in alot of agreement with Obama, but I just don’t agree with him. I think he just feeds people what they want to hear (bullshit).

    For example, i do believe “its time for change”, but with the way he’s plans to changie the economy seems impractical. For one, anyone can promise someone the world, but you need efficient plans behind it. With him as president, the man on the street asking for change will finally get to eat. So now people are going to getting paid for nothing? You really think that’s going to encourage people to get out and look for a job when they are already getting a free meal. This will be a major step back for the economy.

    I don’t agree with his plan to “share the wealth”. He wants to raise taxes for people (families) who are VALUED at now $150,000. This will basically be 90% of businesses. Meaning higher prices in the future, higher taxes for employees, and possibly less pay.

    When Obama first started running for president, one of his top three goals was to bring the soldiers back home. Now he hardly mentions it, because the goverment can not move out that easy. Then, he says we need to move into third world countires asap(like i believe you mentioned guam). That is not going to be much different than Iraq. What happened to the U.S. first like New Orleans.

    Then he plans on changing our enviroment “green”. You know how much money that’s going to cost the economy? First, yea gas prices are high as fuck, but those cars are almost twice as expensive compared to regular cars. Second, they aren’t built to last, and the maintenence on those cars can be 3 to 4 times as much as regular cars.

    I can go on, but I’m just trying to say that Obama will be a step down for the economy. He’s pushing on everything being owned and gone through the government first. (Like the government now owns a part of Bank of America).
    In my opinion, thats the first step towards socialism.

    My thing is this…he might not be able to turn all of his promises into reality, but at least he is trying to do something! McCain wants to leave things the way they are, and that isn’t going to do it.

    As far as the “green” automobiles go, those cars will be made in the USA by Americans, so they will be affordable.

    What’s wrong with a bum on the street eating? Some people will feed a starving animal before they would feed a hungry person! That seems backwards to me.

  30. If the socialist party claimed they were for Obama as president and agreed with his plans that would hurt him tremedously during the election. Thats why they have their own nominee because no one wants to vote for them because they are for socialism.

    Obama is pushing for more corportations to be governement owned. This is how socialism starts. Then, when you don’t pay that fine, how long before they decide to just stick their hand in your bank accont.

    Turning “green” sounds good: more jobs in america, cheaper gas, etc. But who is going to start these businesses? You think any corportation wants in when Obama is planning on raising business tax from 24 to 38 percent higher?

    I don’t want to share my money with anyone, especially some bum on the corner who doesn’t care about doing shit. Come to vegas and you’ll be suprised to see how many homeless people don’t mind their lifestyle. They stand on the corner and hustle the tourists all day.
