When we’re not talking about how fine Alicia Keys is, I have to say I’m lukewarm on her music. I like some songs, dislike some, and an flat out indifferent on the greater majority of her music. I could tell on her last CD that she had been working on her vocals but the music was still hit or miss for me.
This new track has her Twitter TL reading like a self help book full of encouragement and excitement and it seemingly all comes from this song. This song proves, to me, to be another that I could take or leave. It’s more upbeat than we’ve heard in a while without sounding like that euro stuff we’ve been hearing lately so I appreciate that. It’s undeniably Swizzy on the production…I just can’t decide if that’s a good or bad thing. Anyway, check it out, let me know what you think…and I still love her.
