I’m cool with the modern Survivor Series format, basically the yearly WarGames version now. That said, I do miss the old-school “traditional” elimination matches. And honestly, they could’ve fit one or two on this card with the same outcomes (especially if WWE doesn’t want certain people taking pins).
But on the other side of that: Seeing Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, CM Punk, and Cody Rhodes all in the same match, a no-holds-barred cage match, is kinda insane. No slight to the women’s WarGames match; AJ Lee being in this kind of match is crazy too.
Either way, that’s what we’re getting this Saturday with the 2025 edition of Survivor Series: WarGames. Here are my thoughts and predictions.

I already talked about how wild this match is in the intro. As for the result? Honestly a toss-up. There’s a chance something happens with Jey Uso turning heel, but since he’ll probably face Gunther in the Time Is Now Tournament, they can hold off. Even though Punk/Cody/Roman/The Usos are a stacked babyface team, I’m calling the upset: The heel team wins and they pin Jimmy Uso.

The biggest question here is whether AJ Lee takes any hard bumps or bleeds (and how Lash Legend looks in the match). I think it’ll be good, but I don’t see Ripley’s team losing. Ripley, Iyo, Alexa, Charlotte, and AJ win.

At first I was going to say Cena wins because he needs to look strong heading into the Time Is Now Tournament (probably against Gunther). Then I remembered Survivor Series is in San Diego: Dom’s hometown. Cena already accomplished the Grand Slam by winning the title. He doesn’t need to keep the belt and dropping it clears up any “Does he defend it in his last match?” issues. The King of the Luchadors wins and becomes Intercontinental Champion again in his hometown.

It would honestly be funny if Nikki Bella beat Stephanie Vaquer (especially after that Becky Lynch match), but that’s not happening. Stephanie wins and moves on to better feuds.
