Freddie Gibbs & Madlib
Gangsta Gibbs came out rocking a Dodger jersey looking like he was from L.A. I would say Freddie Gibbs & Madlib definitely had the most entertaining set. He was smoking weed throughout his set, and would ask the audience for bud to keep the show going. He was also giving out jewelry to numerous people for just singing his shit or looking good. The main thing I remember is how many times he said “Fuck the police”. Damn and I thought I hated the cops. During his set, he brought out BJ the Chicago Kid to perform “Shame”. The only minor disappointment was Madlib. Don’t get me wrong, he did a good job mixing, but he didn’t “Wow” me like I expected. There were times I thought he was going to throw in the beat, but Gibbs ended up doing the song accapella. You can definitely tell they didn’t take time to rehearse, but it was dope anyway. The highlight was coming out to “BFK”.
