The Top 10 Most Anticipated Films of 2014

Movies of 2014

Netflix is good for some days, but not all the time. In 2014, I’m going to try and go to the movies more often because I love the experience of going to a movie theater and watching a great story in front of my eyes on a big screen. Last year, I only saw a total of twelve movies and none of them included big blockbuster movies or ,unfortunately, any Oscar nominated movies. My favorite was Fruitvale Station and my least favorite was a tie between Spring Breakers and Machete Kills.

Honestly, I’m not excited for the big blockbusters/sequels again this year with Amazing Spider-Man 2, Transformers: Age of Extinction, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, X-Men: Days of Future Past, or Dawn of the Planet of the Apes set for release. My top 10 list is filled with one found-footage film, one based on a best-seller, one possible offensive (Somehow, it’s going to be offensive. I already know.) comedy from the guy behind Family Guy and one comedy from the guy that brought you Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Get Him to the Greek, three sequels, two movies funded by the public, and a reboot of one my favorite childhood movies.

Honorable Mentions: Cooties, The F Word, Adult World, The Lego Movie, Godzilla, Horrible Bosses 2, & The Raid 2: Berandal
