The Numbers Game: Maxwell Is #1

maxwell-numbers

As you probably gathered from the post title, Maxwell came back in a big way. I guess the 8 year layoff didn’t hurt his fanbase a bit huh? In what will be the first in a trilogy, Maxwell’s 4th album, BLACKsummers’night grabbed the #1 spot this week and sold over 300,000 albums. I know we Hip-Hop here, but if you need R&B music, you may need to pick this one up. Maxwell gets the ladies open.

We’ve gotten some e-mails and comments about if we’re reviewing the new Alchemist album Chemical Warfare or not. Of course we are. Kareem Abdul Jamar was delayed from doing the review on-time due to an injury. What’s the injury? Mick Foley suplexed him through a table! He got poked in the eye. Jamar is almost 100% so the review is still on the way.

I see Jamie Foxx‘s Intuition finally went platinum. Still a big success though. Motown also released The Stripped Mixes by Michael Jackson last week. Stripped mixes of Jackson 5 classic Motown-era songs sounds kinda dope…yeah, I’m rambling. That’s all I have for this week.
