For some reason I honestly thought Beanie Sigel wouldn’t throw any major shots at Jay-Z here. Well, actually he didn’t. 50 Cent (Who was just on the hook) did it for him: “You changed man! You let the money change you Jay! You used to be from Marcy nigga! Now you’se a pass the Grey Poupon ass nigga! You don’t want the shooter? I’ll take him.” I’ll need more listens to the actual song before I give my opinion.

Hey, when is 50’s album dropping again? Pretty soon right? Okay.

    1. Yeah some of the lines from Beanie on this song were also used in the Young Chris, Freeway & Beanie Sigel song “Last Two”. Honestly I like that song better than “I Go Off”, this song got the *Kanye shrug* from me after listening. Nothing really impressive about it and kind of boring. I really hope this Beanie/Jay-Z thing just blows over cause honestly I don’t think Jay is even going to waste his time with it. The whole thing looks different now than it did a couple weeks ago when “What You Talkin’ Bout” dropped. Now it’s kind of looking like a publicity stunt when it’s announced that Beanie Sigel signs with G-Unit and we all know how 50 is when it’s album release time with beefs (it happens every release). This whole situation went from being interesting to being boring real fast.

  2. Yeah I have heard that the verses are recycled. So does this mean that 50 will definitely be signing Beans? I was pretty sure he wouldn`t, but with all that talk I guess he will be…. Its a bit of a shame it didnt happen a while ago, Beans is hardly relevant anymore….

  4. Doesn’t this make you wanna listen to “Who Shot Ya”? If you listen to Sigel’s rhymes you can tell he really REALLY likes Biggie…just like Jay-Z.

    2. Yeah and we all knew who Big was talking about on that “Who Shot Ya” song along with LL Cool J “I Shot Ya”.. Thats from my perspective anyways. I think Jay need to rip 50 one last time. Back in 99 when he said something about 50, 50 wasn’t on top of his game and wasn’t well known then.

      1. Well he isn’t at home cuz he’s staying in the Holiday Inn across town. However, Yes I do think he is thinking about 50 Cent and Beanie. They aren’t worth it? Are you retarded – If Jay took out 50 Cent in a beef it would make him the undisputed king of rap, I’d say that is worth it. But he won’t because he is too scared what may be the outcome. Beef has always been a part of what makes hip-hop unique and when two heavy hitters diss you (especially if one used to be in your camp) and you don’t respond I’m sorry but that makes you a b*tch. Jay-Z has gone soft, he’s making bullsh*t music now just like everyone else and has just as big a hand in the downfall of rap music today. If he too is going to make that pop-rap crap just to sell records to people who aren’t even true hip-hop fans then the least he can do is stay true to the art form underground and play the game. Hell if his album would of came out a few months before it did he too would have had auto-tune but because people started dissing it he drops all auto-tune tracks and has the nerve to make D.O.A. There once was a day when Jay was a true MC but that day is long gone, he’s a gimmick like everyone else and won’t do anything that may tarnish that image even if that means being a b*tch.

        1. If Jay isn’t the current king of rap who is? Certainly not 50… They are on different levels at this point. Jay has evolved beyond the strapped crack-dealing hustler he used to be, 50 has decided to stick with the same thing. I highly doubt Jay will respond other than a couple subliminals. Jay isn’t making soft music, he just isn’t making the same music as before. Artists evolve. On to the next one….

          2. There is no king of rap – Rap is Dead. And yes whether you like it or not 50 Cent is on Jay-Z’s level. He has sold the records and made the money in actually a far less time span than Jay Z has so I would say maybe Jay should take some tips from Fif. Jay Z thinks more of himself than necessary especially by calling himself the greatest rapper EVER – Wat happen to Biggie??? Or is that just another bitch move. And Fine I will agree Jay’s music has evolved but like I said not for true hip-hop fans – for people like you who probably started listen to rap because “it makes you feel good and wanna dance.”

  9. I really can’t believe 50 is talking shit with that horrendously air brushed perfume…err…cologne ad that he has. I mean talk about changed….these rap beefs are ridiculous as hell and without anytime of merit. None of them are truly entertaining like “The Brigde is Over”(Except the Nas/Jay-Z beef for a limited time).
    I was at the Ghostface show at B.B.Kings two nights ago and the Ultramagnetic MC’s made it a point to promote their new album and say “Fuck Joe Budden!” in one breath. I mean, what the hell? I had a feeling Ghostface really wanted to say it but let them instead. These shit is dragging down Hip Hop for real.

  10. I luv Jigga man (TOP 5 ALLTIME). Big fan of Sigel and 50 as well. But since Jay got smashed by Nas, he lost his luster as Hova the Marcy monster that would end your career.

    Check it- Cam, Jimmy, Game & Budden have diss him (pretty bad 2 a degree). In Jay PRIME- he would not have (resonalbe doubt era)allowed that. Ok cool you feel like there not on your level for response..But to be the greatest of alltime you cannot let Sigel slide nor 50. They are clowin yo gangsta.

    Imo Kayne West Big Brother was somewhat of shot @ Jay. Or how about Nas slick diss on Sucess (on the same track).
