This week Tech N9ne captured his highest/biggest debut ever as his album All 6’s And 7’s lands the #4 spot and sales 55,000 units. Since this album is independent, I’m counting this as a win for Tech N9ne and Strange Music. [Check out our review for Tech N9ne’s Strange Music here].
On the back end, Big K.R.I.T.‘s condensed version of ReturnOf4Eva, R4: The Prequel EP, only sold around 550 albums and didn’t chart in the Top 200 this week. I’d be lying if I said that I didn’t wish that number was a little higher. But to be fair, the mixtape (Which included all the songs on the EP plus 19 more) was given away for free weeks prior. R4: The Prequel EP was also only available on iTunes. I’m hoping this doesn’t sour Def Jam on K.R.I.T.’s upcoming album. Dude is a a beast.
Next week we’ll see Bad Meets Evil enter the charts. #1 maybe? Probably.
