The Numbers Game: Jazmine Sullivan Debuts At #6

I was this close to not doing a Numbers Game this week. Why you ask? Well, this week we had a plethora of R&B acts invade the charts and really not much Hip-Hop. But then the more I thought about, I realized that I have been listening to a lot more R&B lately (The Robin Thicke album is kinda live). Also we have a debut this week by someone Thic Flair highly recommended; Jazmine Sullivan. Yea, she may threaten to bust out windows and yea she may not be a household name yet; but 65,000 people went and bought her debut album Fearless. Also, I feel ignorant for some reason thinking she was a teen; honey is like 21. Besides my girl, did anybody know Joe had an album coming out (Now supposedly going by Joe Thomas). Well, I guess so because Mr. “Don’t Wanna Be A Player No More” still grabbed the #8 spot besides not having the best promotion. Houston’s own Z-Ro cracked the Top 50 with his new album..uh, Crack. When you think about it, Z-Ro pushing 10,000 units is crazy (Shame we probably won’t review that album). Other than that, the charts are almost the same from last week. Next week is gonna be a monster though (Examples: T.I., Robin Thicke, Jennifer Hudson, Dem Franchize Boyz, Big Kuntry King, Large Professor, Heltah Skeltah, Termanology, etc.) I also personally would like to thank the staff. We did like five six reviews this week (The newest rookie did two! Guy “Motherf%$#ing!” Fawkes is in the building!). Don’t forget to hit us up on Twitter as well as sign up for our nappyafro updates (We got like 70 of you who haven’t finished filling out forms). So, since I’m strapped for time today, I’ll just bow out gracefully now. Peace.
