Ain’t this a bitch? As some of you know, I’m supposed to be taking some time off this week. My basic job on nappyafro consists of putting up the daily posts, editing, a small amount of coding, some bootleg web design, graphics, and doing a write up or the occasional review. Now, since the end of last week, I passed all those duties to King Jerm (Who is doing a great job holding down the squad). But it occurred to me today that nobody else was gonna do The Numbers Game (Not saying it’s hard. The sales figures do most of the work). So, here I am. Instead of being on the beach in flip-flops, I’m here with you guys. You’re welcome.
Actually, after looking at the numbers for this week, it’s really not much movement.
American Idol alumna Jordin Sparks comes back with her second album, Battlefield, and debuts at #7. I didn’t even know she had a second album coming out. I do know that her first album almost went platinum (It may have).
The only other notable release this week is from Da’ T.R.U.T.H. Sound familiar? It would if you were good Christian people…okay, I never heard of him either. The Grammy nominated rapper checks in at #110 with his 4th album The Big Picture. The last Christian rapper I heard of was BB Jay (He sounded a lot like Biggie and had a song out called “Pentecostal Poppa”? That shit was terrible AND hilarious).
I’m back out.
“But on another note, ’bout to take another vaca’/On another boat, goddamn a motherfucker rode/His way out the hood, and I pray that I stay out for good/But any day you know a nigga could/Try and play like he Suge, then I gotta play like Dutch Schultz/You pass the dutchie, I blast you, trust me”
