The Numbers Game: Jay-Z is Still #1. Ace Hood, Mayer Hawthorne, & Ronald Isley Debut.

Jay-Z

As expected, Jay Z‘s Jay-Z‘s Magna Carta Holy Grail stays at #1 on the album sales charts. Not really a surprise here.

What did surprise me was the amount of new albums that I had no idea was coming out; even artists who I actually fucks with like Mayer Hawthorne and his new album Where Does This Door Go. That landed at #29 and sold 9,700 copies and it may be his best showing on the charts to date.

Other debuts this week I had no clue off: Ronald Isley‘s This Song Is For You, Kevin GatesStranger Than Fiction, & ¡Mayday!‘s Believers.

I did know about Ace Hood‘s Trials & Tribulations and it hits the charts at #4. I also know that this is the highest he’s ever ranked on charts. Good for Ace but don’t expect a review anytime soon.

J. Cole‘s Born Sinner crosses the Gold mark in 5 weeks. Before Kanye West‘s Yeezus I might add.
