Gucci Mane – Trap Back 2
Gucci has had an insane month even by Gucci standards. He started beefing with longtime partner and friend Waka Flocka, appeared in Spring Breakers which has grossed almost ten million worldwide, and was arrested for allegedly assaulting a fan with a champagne bottle. He also somehow found the time to release three new mixtapes (Trap Back 2, EastAtlantaMemphis with Young Dolph, and Money, Pounds, Ammunition with PeeWee Longway). (Download)

Fred the Godson – Contraband
The 2011 XXL Freshman’s latest tape stays firmly in his lane. The Godson spits hard bars over soulful and grimy New York beats. The mixtape features Dipset production team The Heatmakerz who are still making hot music. (Download)

Torch – Tax Season
The MMG soldier spends a lot of this mixtape going-in over other rapper’s latest bangers. Some of the tape’s highlights make you wonder what this guy could do if he was on Ross’ A-team. (Download)

Gudda Gudda – REDRUM
Gudda has improved massively as a rapper over the last few years but REDRUM is still way too repetitive and inconsistent. (Download)

Hit-Boy Presents: HS87 – All I’ve Ever Dreamed Of
There is some great production on this tape. Nothing as hot as “Niggas in Paris”, “Clique”, or “Backseat Freestyle” but you can tell these beats were made by the same guy. However, there is no Kanye, Jay, or Kendrick to really light up these new beats. The rappers on HS87 can be inconsistent and their subject matter isn’t original enough to carry this project.
