The Numbers Game: Rihanna Is #3 + Nelly & Cassidy Debut

While some sites reported that Rihanna‘s latest album Loud was on course to sell around 170,000 copies, she actually ended up doing a little over 200,000. Is this a low sales week for Ri Ri? Nope. Her last album, Rated R, only did 180,000 in the first week and she it ended up going Platinum.

Nelly makes his return to the charts after a two year break with his new album 5.0 (Doesn’t it seem longer?). Even though he didn’t do numbers like he did during his Country Grammar days (Who really is selling these days besides Eminem or Taylor Swift?), it was enough for him to debut in the Top 10. Me & SBK both came to agreement that Cassidy‘s new album C.A.S.H. was gonna do terrible numbers. But him selling 5,200 units is actually better than I expected (I’m sure GLC would kill for those figures). [Check out Cassidy’s C.A.S.H. review here]

Also this week, we see Trey Songz‘s Passion, Pain & Pleasure cross over the 500,000 mark and Eminem‘s Recovery grab it’s 3rd Platinum plaque
